An Important Announcement.

I’ve been stressing over this decision for the past two days, but I think ti’s best. It’s with a heavy heart that “Ariel” Will be the last episode of Abridged. There are a lot of reasons why I’m choosing to discontinue the series.

 -  --1.Time. This series takes a lot of time to do and when RL gets in the way, it makes it incredibly stressful to get things done.
-- 2. I’m really growing displeased with the fandom and am trying to make measures to remove myself from it as much as possible so I can enjoy the show and not deal with the crazy. Yes, I know that's not right for those of you who aren't bloody insane...but I need to do this for my own sanity/frustration levels.
3-- 3. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the show’s message concerning the villains. This has always been an issue for me and will continue to be until the villains actually start having some friggin’ regrets and remorse for the people they’ve hurt. I thought the writers might have learned their lessons last season with Regina but we’re having the same go-round with Hook. No remorse, no regrets, no apologies to the people they’ve severely hurt…but they expect us to buy redemption because the villains do the very very basic of doing something good. I can’t do that. As someone who was an abused child, it makes me physically ill almost that they continue to let Regina near Henry despite her having no regrets about the things she’s done because it got HER what SHE wanted. It makes me ill that the abuse is only brought up when it serves a plot point. (The last time it was actually brought up as a legitimate in show complaint was “We are Both” and the redemption angle was weak and didn’t last. It sort of makes my stomach turn that Hook sold out Bae and would’ve died for all Hook knew, and this has never been brought up again because all of a sudden, Hook’s in love with Emma (Who he was prepared to let die a week ago as long as he got his revenge) and the writers don’t want us to remember that he’s done horrible things to people as well. I’m growing more and more disenchanted by the idea that these villains continuously get away with hurting people and the heroes let them get away with it.
4.      4. Some other projects I’m working on have my interest

So, I will be putting the Abridged up after “Ariel”. Leaning on the ‘permanently’ side of things for now, but I will keep the photos and I will keep an open mind for now…it depends on how the show goes and if I start to actually miss this.
